Programme to Commemorate Vivekananda’s visit to Mahbub College on Feb 13
Hyderabad: The Mahbub College management committee, in association with Sri Ramakrishna Math, is jointly organising a grand program to reconnect with historic visit of great Hindu Monk Swami Vivekananda's first visit to Hyderabad on February 13 at the College premises at 10 am. Governor Jishnu Dev Varma will be taking part in the event as special guest.
Swami Bhodhamayananda ji, Adhyaksha, Ramamakrishna Math and other senior monks of Sri Ramakrishna Math will be taking part in the event to convey their special message to the society and youth in particular.
It may be noted that Sri Swami Vivekananda set his foot at Mahbub College on February 13, 1893 to interact with citizens of Hyderabad in those turbulent days, before leaving for Chicago to take part in global religions summit, where he made an extraordinary speech on Hindutva, which opened up eyes and cleared misconceptions of western nations on Sanatana Dharma.
The Mahbub College management committee and Group of Educational Institutions president P.L. Srinivas said it would be a great moment for thousands of their students pursuing various professional courses, high school and college students to get inspiration from the holy land of the college on the day, where Swami Vivekananda made an inspiring presence over 130 years ago. N Naresh Kumar Yadav, vice president of Mahbub College (MHSS) was present.
